Thanksgiving is always a special time at Lola’s family’s farm. Every year her parents sell hundreds of apple pies for the holiday. This year, Lola plans to help. While her parents make the pies, she will help with Thanksgiving dinner! She knows exactly what to do, with tasks assigned to each day. She has four days to get it all done, from peeling potatoes to snapping the green beans to cutting up the carrots. But as the days go by, Lola helps her parents with the various stages of pie-making. There’s no time left at the end of each day to think about Thanksgiving dinner. It’s not until five hundred and four pies are sold to happy customers that it’s time to close the farm’s bakery shop. And by then, Lola is too apple-pie tired to work on Thanksgiving dinner. Is their holiday dinner in danger?
